The LockNet Annual Fun Day

Bytes from LockNet > The LockNet Annual Fun Day

If you’ve had a chance to check out my video on the benefits of working at LockNet, you know that one of the main things our CEO, Chad Miller, focuses on is the culture within the company. Not only does LockNet make sure every team member is  proficient in the positions they hold, but also  a cultural-fit.

While it’s cliche to use the saying, “work hard, play hard,” in this case it’s more than applicable.

It truly is a philosophy LockNet lives by, and what better to prove it than than to throw a giant party for all your employees?

LockNet Fun Day 2017

This year was no different in the amount of fun dished out to everyone.

Fun Day gives everyone a chance to take some time off work and relax with their coworkers. The event was held at our warehouse location andt was nice to get to hang out with our friends at the warehouse.

The Fun Day committee even booked a live band for this year’s event and it was so awesome to see some local talent come out.

Food, Fun, Prizes (and Peanut Butter Cookies)

We had the traditional cornhole competitions. The winners, Jeff Kirkner and David Caldwell, received a day off work.

Our famous dessert competitions are always a hit. This year’s winner, Neni Robertson from Purchasing wowed us all with her peanut butter cookie lasagna.  There was an inflatable slide, raffle drawings for prizes ranging from Visa gift cards to blankets to tickets to a Bengals game.

Food was provided by a local food truck, Mr. Pork Chop, and there were nothing but rave reviews about their meals.

Locknet Family Feud

The highlight of the day to many, though, was Family Feud.

Each team had between four and five people and, let me just say, we have some fiercely competitive people here at LockNet.

The game went well past five o’clock and there were plenty of laughs to go around.

I know to some, the idea of something called “Fun Day” may sound a little cheesy.

And there might be people wondering why we needed an inflatable slide at a party of adults, but it just works. This is part of what makes Locknet a special place to work.

Everyone enjoys themselves and many stockpile ideas for the next year’s event.

Overall, it was a great day and very indicative of what LockNet strives to be as a company.
