Continuing Education – Electrified Hardware

Bytes from LockNet > Continuing Education – Electrified Hardware

electrified hardwareContinuing education is an integral part of providing the excellent customer service our Nationwide Repair & Service Department is known for. So to see a group in the back of the office taking apart locks, hinges, frames, leversets or the like is not out of the norm. Think sparks flying off a multi saw and safety glasses everywhere you look (safety first, guys!) Unfortunately, it’s also not out of the realm of possibilities for someone to accidentally set off an alarmed panic bar, or set one off just because, well they can.

Electrified Hardware – On-Site Education

Last week, Greg Anderson, ALOA-AAI, CFDI, PBET, Technical Product Trainer – Adams Rite – HES – Securitron , from Assa Abloy University was here at LockNet for four days hosting training sessions on electrified hardware. But this training wasn’t just textbook knowledge; the group delved into the installation, uses, ADA and NFPA code parameters for using electrified hardware such as strikes, magnetic lock products, and power supplies.

Always Educating – Electrified Hardware +

Our highest priority as an organization is to serve our customers to the best of our ability and what better way to do that than by increasing our breadth of knowledge. When it comes to electrified hardware, expertise is the only way to ensure correct hardware specification, and the ability to think outside the box to solve the problems we see on a daily basis. When you are not in the field what better form of education is there than hands on work with the hardware you’ve been discussing, troubleshooting and researching on a daily basis?! Intense discussion was sparked after wrapping up the four day course and no doubt continued long after returning to the daily grind. Check out the photos below for a sneak peek inside the electrified hardware training sessions.
