sargentAre you tired of the same old doors?

Are you wanting a fresh new look, but don’t want to burn through your budget on replacing entire doors?

Do I sound like I’m in an infomercial yet?

Ok, I’m done.

We did, however, recently ask us how they could freshen up their doors and not deplete their wallet.

Refreshing the look of your doors doesn’t have to be a budget buster. A few simple changes can give your door a whole new look and leave people thinking you did actually buy new doors.

Refresh the Look of Your Doors with a Few Simple Changes

New Hardware

Replacing the hardware on your doors with new hardware is a fairly simple way to freshen up old doors. A new leverset can work a miracle when it comes to style. Because leversets are something we touch and see every day, they eventually become invisible. It’s just something we have on a door to perform a certain function.

You wouldn’t believe the difference new hardware can make. A modern leverset on a rustic door gives a nice bit of contrast that will pull the patron’s eye to the door. It’s easy and can be done without a technician.

Consistent Hardware

Have you ever been in a building where something looks off, but you just can’t place your finger on what the problem is?

We preach about consistency a lot, but that’s only because it’s so important!

Consistent hardware throughout a facility might go unnoticed by the average customer, but that’s exactly what you want!

You don’t want people to notice you have a brass leverset on one door and a brushed nickel leverset on another. It’s a small detail, but it’s something the subconscious mind might notice and it gives your facility the feeling that it’s well put together.

Fresh Coat of Paint

You knew it was coming.

A fresh coat of paint is easy, inexpensive, and can be done yourself. Faded paint can often go unnoticed because you’re so used to seeing it every day. You’ve probably forgotten how bright and vibrant the original paint color was, but a new customer is going to notice that.

You can easily freshen up the look of your doors by slapping a fresh coat of paint on (neatly!) and call it a day. You get a brighter look and you wallet is still in mint condition.
