LockNet: 2015 Annual Fun Day

Bytes from LockNet > LockNet: 2015 Annual Fun Day

locknetIt’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again, but somehow it’s September. That means it’s time for LockNet Fun Day!

Every year, a committee of LockNet employees plans an afternoon of fun, food, and games for all of the employees. It’s a great time for both our warehouse and office facilities to gather together, kick back, and enjoy some laughs outside.

Our committee this year did not disappoint. They put together a western themed affair with some great decorations.

We switched things up a bit this year and had some delicious barbeque and eggrolls with a southwestern flare.  Yes, you read that right.

Barbeque and egg rolls.

Who knew the two foods could pair together so deliciously?

LockNet Gets Competitive

It wouldn’t be Fun Day without a little healthy competition.

If you know LockNet employees, you know that some of us have a little competitive streak in us. (You should have seen all the smack talk during our fantasy football draft.)

This year we had the following competitions and winners:

  • Desert Contest: Whitney Perkins won with her delicious devil’s food cake with home-made bourbon vanilla icing. (I know you’re drooling right now)
  • Wii Bowling: Kris Vaselopulos
  • Corn hole: Jeff Kirkner

You Get a Chair, and You Get a Chair!

you get a chairWe always give away door prizes at Fun Day. This year’s committee switched things up a bit and gave everyone a really nice LockNet camping chair with the LockNet logo on it.

Bob’s Lock and Key in Attleboro, Massachusetts was incredibly generous and handed out five $50 gift cards to various stores as prizes as well.

A Big Thank You

I’d like to thank this year’s committee for the great day. So here’s a big shout out to the members:

  • Sandra Redman
  • Lisa Alexander
  • Dillon Campbell
  • Thomas Howard
  • Phillip Giles

Of all years, this is one to celebrate!
