Having grown up in the business, I can honestly say this is one of those years that will stand out in the history books.  LockNet has grown, evolved, and blossomed this year.  2013 was a banner year for us, and 2014 built on that momentum and continued to break records.

What was so exciting about 2014 you ask?  Here are some of the highlights:

LockNet’s New Warehouse

With all of the growth we have been experiencing came the need for more space and increased efficiencies.  We moved our warehouse down the road to a bright and shiny new facility, and it certainly hasn’t disappointed.

The move was a huge undertaking and a group effort.  It has resulted in lots of additional storage space for inventory, and staging of product and shipments.  The production area is also a lot brighter and easier to organize.  I think I can speak for all of our warehouse employees when I say that they like their new home!

Expansion of Our New Electromechanical Solutions Department

The Electromechanical Solutions (EMS) Department was born in 2013 and really took off this year.  So much so that we had to rearrange our office to make space for everyone! And with all the new people, we have been strongly focussed on creating custom systems and reports that will make the EMS Department more efficient and our customer service seamless.

Milestone Celebration

LockNet hit a major milestone in our third quarter. We would tell you what that milestone was, but if we did, we’d have to kill you. Let’s just say it 100% made our year!  We always said that if we hit this milestone we would throw a big party, so party we did!  Everyone had a great time getting together outside of work to enjoy food, drinks, and live music.

Another Successful Fun Day

We hosted our 6^th annual Fun Day this year.  I don’t know how, but the committee keeps outdoing themselves.  This year we had a tailgate theme full of fun, games, prizes, good food, and great community.

New Products

We now offer a wide variety of electrified hardware and are working closely with our key vendors to provide customer feedback to aid in the development of future products.

On the door front, we are finding that fiberglass doors are growing in popularity.  We have been spec’ing these into a few sets of plans this year and our customers are very satisfied!

2014 was a great year for LockNet. While we’ve been busier than ever, we can never say that’s a bad thing! What is most exciting about 2014 is knowing that 2015 is going to be even better.  Be on the lookout for great things from us next year!
